Leadership

Andreas Stuhlmüller
Before starting Elicit, Andreas was a postdoctoral researcher in Noah Goodman's Computational Cognitive Science lab at Stanford. He co-created WebPPL, a programming language for probabilistic machine learning. He holds a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from MIT, where he worked in Josh Tenenbaum's group.

Jungwon Byun
Prior to Elicit, Jungwon was the Head of Growth at Upstart, where she helped the company scale 5x in revenue and originations. Jungwon also served as a management consultant at Oliver Wyman and Executive Director/CEO of Elmseed Enterprise Fund. She graduated cum laude from Yale, and holds a B.A. in economics.

Brad Artziniega
Brad is a product designer who previously worked at Figma, Medium, and IDEO as well as founding several startups of his own. He holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from MIT where he studied fluid dynamics and a B.S. from University of California San Diego in Mechanical Engineering.

James Brady
James leads our engineering team. He joined Elicit from Spring, where he was VP of Technology leading the development of their creator commerce platform. Before Spring, James founded startups in the personal knowledge management and developer tools spaces, then brought a team to Square to build their Payroll product.

Sarah Park
Sarah is an Operations leader with a background spanning SaaS, online media, and hospitality. Prior to Elicit, she was Head of People at Geneva and President at MeetEdgar. Sarah is an advocate for building sustainable, people-first companies and communities.
Product & Design

Ben Rachbach
Ben was a software engineer at Wonder Workshop prior to joining Elicit. Before that, he was a research analyst at GiveWell. He received a Bachelors of Arts in Chinese and education studies from Swarthmore College.

Hamsa Pillai
Before Elicit, Hamsa was an APM at Google where he worked on making Google's first LLMs safe for release. He also worked as a technical writer and founded a startup focused on making the news more useful to people. He graduated from Duke with a B.S. in Computer Science.

Kadir Annamalai
Kadir is a member of product staff with experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, and autonomous transportation. Before Elicit, he led the autonomous delivery experience at Cruise and the product and design team at Spring. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Princeton and an MBA from Stanford.

Pradyumna Prasad
Pradyumna joins Elicit from the National University of Singapore. He enjoys the caliber of Elician’s thoughtfulness around decision making and is attracted by the agency of how AI helps humans in his work. He previously worked at the Government Technology Agency of Singapore.

Shahid Ahmad
Shahid is a member of technical staff who, before Elicit, worked as a researcher at GiveWell. He also contributed as an engineer to Our World in Data and Snowflake, and founded a conversational AI startup.

Étienne Fortier-Dubois
Étienne specializes in designing evaluations of Elicit's AI outputs. Before Elicit, he studied evolutionary biology and computer science, and worked as a software engineer in natural language processing at Druide informatique. He's also a blogger and occasional freelance writer.
Engineering

Adrian "Panda" Smith
Panda previously worked at Stripe on financial infrastructure and building early-stage language model tooling. Before Stripe, he worked with Keysight Technologies designing the infrastructure and software necessary to operate a global high-tech hardware supply chain.

Charlie Marlow
Charlie is a member of technical staff who previously worked as an AI engineer at Alto Pharmacy, where he built inventory management and fulfillment systems across the company's 13 pharmacy sites.

Edoardo Pona
Edoardo is currently pursuing a PhD at King’s College in London, working on causality and safety guarantees for general purpose AI agents. In the past, Edoardo worked as a machine learning engineer in a London hedge fund, and co-founded a startup working on decentralized voting.

Ethan Herr
Ethan was previously a founding engineer at Goodword where he worked on AI to cultivate human connection, after several years as a senior engineer and tech lead at growth-stage SaaS companies. He came to engineering by way of motion graphics, animation, video, and music, and holds a masters in Jazz Composition.

Ian Danforth
Prior to Elicit, Ian was a Staff Machine Learning Research Engineer at Alation. Before that, he worked in robotics at Fetch Robotics (acquired by Zebra), founded Embodied AI developing furry robot pets, and contributed to biologically inspired machine intelligence research at Numenta.

Jake Koenig
Jake joined Elicit from AbanteAI where he developed remote async coding agents. Before AbanteAI he worked at other tech companies including Google. He earned a masters in mathematics, focused on random matrix theory at the Ohio State University and earned a B.S. in Mathematics from UChicago.

John Sullivan
John began their career as a Software Engineer at a coffee roasting startup in 2008. Several jobs later, they helped to improve education for millions at Khan Academy. Now they're excited to improve cognition on a global scale at Elicit.

Justin Reppert
Justin is a machine learning engineer who previously worked on evaluations of international development projects. He holds a PhD from Fordham University, where he specialized in the philosophy of mathematics.

Kev Choi
Kev is a member of technical staff building the systems that power search, agents, and data at scale. Before Elicit, he worked at SignalFire, Amazon Music, Dropbox, and Wealthfront. He holds a BS in CS from Harvey Mudd College and an MS in ML from Georgia Tech.

Luke Stebbing
Luke is a member of technical staff who previously worked as a software engineer at the University of Utah’s Center for High Performance Computing, Xapio, FireID, and Google. He holds a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Utah.

Spruce Bondera
Before Elicit, Spruce was a founder at Continuum, an LLM coding assistant that focused on creating and traversing knowledge graphs on large codebases. Prior to that he worked on vehicle motion planning at Waymo as they first tested and launched in San Francisco.

Zach Martin
Zach is a member of technical staff who, before Elicit, worked as an engineer at SoundHound AI and Optoro on LLM training and reinforcement learning, model architectures, and optimization. He holds an M.S. in Data Science from New York University.
Sales & Marketing

Harry Johnson
Before Elicit, Harry was at PatSnap, helping R&D, IP, and business development teams surface competitive and scientific intelligence. Prior to that, he helped build out the GTM and sales motion at Cledara, a SaaS spend management platform. Harry holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the University of Aberdeen.

Isabella Garcia Foster
Based in London for more than five years, Isabella built the venture-focused book at AlphaSights in Europe and later worked with VC clients globally at Affinity and Specter. She has a penchant for sudoku and dachshund-friendly road trips.

Jonathan Ye
Prior to Elicit, Jonathan was a consultant at McKinsey & Company focused on growth strategy for education and public sector institutions. Before McKinsey, Jonathan worked in investment banking at Perella Weinberg Partners. Jonathan received a B.S. in Finance from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Prem Swaroop Mohanty
Before Elicit, Prem led product marketing at Benchling and Abio Technologies. Earlier in his career, he was a management consultant at Navigant and an R&D scientist at Allergan and deCode Chemistry. Prem holds an MBA from UC Berkeley, an MS from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and a B.Pharm from the University of Mumbai.

Sheena Pulapaka
Sheena has built out go-to-market functions at several startups across life sciences, healthcare, and education. She holds a Master’s in Business from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science specializing in biology. In her free time, she can be found underwater with a scuba tank strapped to her back.

Tylar Tannenbaum
Tylar works with pharma and life sciences organizations to make rigorous research part of their highest-stakes decisions. Before Elicit, she built customer success and change management practices from scratch at Airtable and Airtime (formerly: mmhmm), and spent three years at Slack managing global enterprise accounts.

Xiangxu Kong
Xiangxu is a PhD scientist trained in chemistry and biophysics who has helped launch novel single-cell multi-omics and DNA sequencing technologies. More recently, he built and led commercial teams at life science software companies like Benchling and Kaleidoscope. Xiangxu received his PhD from UCLA and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Juliet Orang
Juliet is a skilled and versatile operations staff member who, prior to joining Elicit, worked at AT&T Mobile and as a sales and billing customer representative at Frontier Communications.

Laura Montgomery
Laura has built recruiting programs at AI and data startups across her career, including Looker and Weights & Biases. She brings a focus on aligning top talent to the business’s highest needs and believes that a great candidate experience is a core part of how you hire well.

Meia Matsuda
Meia is a versatile operations leader with 10+ years of project management experience spanning government agencies, nonprofits, startups, and her own design business. She graduated in the pioneering class of Sustainable Environmental Design from UC Berkeley.

Sarah Van Pelt
Before Elicit, Sarah led the world's first calcium-based CO2 removal pilot project for Planetary, developed product operations systems at Yellow Dog, and led customer experience initiatives at Help Scout and Meet Edgar. Sarah holds an M.S. in Software Engineering and an M.S. in Library and Information Science from Drexel University.
